Maureen Eddy is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in hospital medicine. She spent two decades caring for patients at multiple hospitals over her career including Norwood Hospital, Good Samaritan Medical Center, and Nashoba Valley Medical Center, where she developed a strong foundation in complex medical care and a deep appreciation for compassionate, patient‑centered treatment. Throughout her hospital career, Maureen saw how often mental health needs went unmet and how significantly this affected patients and their families. In the later part of her medical practice, she witnessed the growing shortage of psychiatric providers and the urgent need for accessible, high‑quality mental health services. This inspired her to transition into psychiatry, bringing her medical expertise, clinical intuition, and commitment to whole‑person care into a new specialty. As a PMHNP, Maureen is skilled in structured diagnostic evaluations, including ADHD and mood disorders. She values clear communication and collaborative treatment planning, and she believes that effective care begins with a strong therapeutic relationship.
