She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Boston University and spent 15 years working with expectant families as a Professional Labor Assistant (Doula) and Certified Childbirth Educator before returning to school for nursing.
She worked as a RN in pediatrics while obtaining her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Northeastern University in 2014 after which she transitioned to the Urgent Care setting. Over the past decade, Randi has cared for patients presenting with acute medical and mental health concerns in addition to taking on clinic leadership roles, including Clinical Nurse Manager and Chief.
Throughout her career, Randi has become increasingly aware of the role psychiatric and mental health concerns contribute to the overall health of the individual. She has also noted the discomfort that many medical providers experience when faced with managing a patient’s mental health needs.
To bridge this gap, Randi completed a post- master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at UMass Amherst to provide competent, comprehensive and patient-centered care. She strives to develop a trusting and collaborative relationship with her patients, and to provide care that is sensitive, holistic and empowering.
